Festival of Tatar song held in Moscow

The initiative of organizing the festival belongs to Moscow’s Tatar National-Cultural Association. The first festival was held 18 years ago. Its leader is the association’s senior activist Karim Shakirov. The production director is the Russian Federation’s Honoured Artist Ildar Shigapov.
Performers of Tatar songs, musicians, dancers from Moscow and Moscow Area, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Chuvashia, Saratov, Samara and Nizhniy Novgorod Province gathers at the festival gala-concert. The head of Tatar Cultural-Enlightenment Centre Anvar Khusainov presented the festival participants with diplomas and gifs.

On 6 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev laid flowers to the monument of the Great Russian poet Aleksandr Pushkin by the Jalil State Opera and Ballet Theatre in Kazan.
