Tatarstan Premier holds meeting with Auchan Russia director general

The head of the Republic of Tatarstan Government Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting with Auchan company’s heads (France) on April 15 at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers.

Auchan Russian Director General Jean Pierre Germain expressed the company’s interest in being presented in Tatarstan retail market.

Tatarstan Prime Minister’s aide for foreign economic work Iskander Muflikhanov informed that Rustam Minnikhanov gave commission to Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade and Tatarstan Economy Ministry to consider the issues of Auchan company’s presence in Tatarstan municipal districts.

Kazan mayor’s Office was charged to consider the issue of opening Auchan hypermarket in Tatarstan capital.

The following officials took part in the meeting: Tatarstan Minister of Economy Marat Safiullin, Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.

For your information: Auchan Russia is the largest network of hypermarkets, a leader of Russian retail market. There are 33 Auchan hypermarkets on the territory of Russian at present. Hypermarkets are expected to open in Ufa, Omsk, Penza, the press-service of Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers informs.
