Tatarstan Prime Minister holds meeting with Uzbekistan Ambassador

The Republic of Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation Ilhomjon Nematov at Tatarstan Government House on April 16.

Uzbekistan Ambassador to Russia thanked for warm welcome he had received in the Republic of Tatarstan.

On April 16 Ilhomjon Nematov took part in the opening ceremony of the international forum “Development of the CIS innovative space. The role and place of the CIS countries’ chambers of industry and commerce”, which takes place in Tatarstan these days.

Issues of mutually beneficial cooperation of Tatarstan and Uzbekistan were discussed at the meeting.

Tatarstan Premier proposed the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Russia to organize a visit of Uzbek businessmen to Tatarstan with the purpose to get acquainted with our republic’s economic potential.

Tatarstan Prime Minister’s aide for foreign economic work Iskander Muflikhanov informed that a visit of Tatarstan delegation to the Republic of Tatarstan is scheduled to take place in 2009.

Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaipov, State adviser to Tatarstan President for international affairs Timur Akulov attended the meeting, the press-service of Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers informs.
