Tatarstan Premier meets with Dean of Colorado University College of Business

The Republic of Tatarstan higher education institutions and Colorado State University (the US) can establish exchange of students and instructors. This opportunity was discussed at a meeting of Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov and Dean of Colorado State University College of Business Ajay Menon at Tatarstan Cabinet of Minister on April 17.

The following officials took part in the meeting: Tatarstan Minister of Education and Science Albert Gilmutdinov, Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Tatarstan Minister of Economy Marat Safioullin, and Kazan State University Rector – Chairman of Tatarstan Rectors Council Myakzyum Salakhov.

Tatarstan Premier Rustam Minnikhanov said that education has been one of priority fields for the republic. We want to use all opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation in education, the head of Tatarstan Government said.

For your information: Colorado State University is one of leading national research institutes involved in research of infectious diseases, sciences about atmosphere, net energy technology and ecological sciences.

Last year the university granted academic degrees to over 5000 alumni. This year the university drew in almost 300 million dollars to finance research.

US News and World Report magazine named Colorado University to be one of the best colleges of the country in the nomination “Best American College” in 2008, the press-service of Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers informs.
