Tukai readings to be held in Kazan

Traditional April Tukai readings will be held at Gabdulla Tukai Literary Museum on April 24. This year the reading will be devoted to contemporary views on the poet’s creativity studies, the press-service of Tatarstan National Museum informs.

Tukai readings have been held at the museum for 15 years already. The organizers are the Republic of Tatarstan National Museum and Tukai Society. The readings attract attention of scholars, representatives of creative intelligentsia, teachers of the Tatar language and literature.

The year of 2009 was announced the Year of Youth in Russia. Works of beginner researchers in the field of Tukai studies will be in the centre of attention by right. Therefore, many student reports will be presented at the conference. Undergraduate and graduate students of Kazan State University, Tatar State Humanities-Pedagogical University, pupils from Naberezhniye Chelny and Baltasi are expected to take part in the readings.
