FISU Secretary General to assess preparation for Universiade-2013 in Kazan

The International University Sports Federation (FISU) members will examine the sport sites, which will host the events of the Universiade-2013 in Kazan. Mr. Saintrond and Mr. Vandeplas will visit the Wrestling Palace, Olymp Sport Complex, Rubin football club’s stadium, Tatneft-Arena ice palace, the Central Stadium, Basket-Hall, Field Hockey Centre, the horse-racing centre, and construction sites of the Universiade Village, Tennis Academy, and Water Sports Palace.
A presentation of the Universiade-2013 sport facilities will be held for the guests. They are expected to meet with Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov and talk to journalists, the press-service of Tatarstan Ministry on Youth Affairs, Sport and Tourism reports.

On 13 March the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev accompanied by the regional Mufti Kamil Samigullin took part in the XIV Iftar of the republic organized by the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Tatarstan, the administration of the Ak Bars Arena stadium and the national tourist complex Tugan Avylym (My Native Village) at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center.

During the conversation Vladimir Putin stated that he is happy to hear bright voice of Mintimer (Sharipovich) and wished him good health and all the best.
