SCO member-states ministers of culture adopt final documents

The culture ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member-states participating in the SCO fourth session “National cultural traditions and youth” held in Kazan adopted several final documents.

Speaking at the Kazan City Hall, Russian Minister of Culture Alexander Avdeyev said that having held a number of interesting and very informative meetings the forum participants adopted a joint information message, the session protocol and declaration. Alexander Avdeyev emphasized that all the documents target the future and give the SCO member countries an opportunity to realize joint work with youth.

The documents state that the session of the SCO culture ministers in Kazan gave a positive impetus to encouraging cultural cooperation within the organization.

Alexander Avdeyev also said that the session participants came to an agreement to hold the next session of the ministers of culture of the SCO member states in the People’s Republic of China in 2010.
