President of the Republic of Tatarstan received a letter from the acting President of the Russian Academy of Education David Feldshtein that informs that "Kazan professional training institute of pedagogics and psychology”, an establishment of the Russian Academy of Education is named after Mirza Makhmutov, academician of the Russian Academy of Education.
Late Mirza Ismailovich Makhmutov (March 2008) entered the annals of the science of pedagogics and educational practice as a talented scientist, the author of the concept of problem-adapted teaching,talented organizer of education process, an innovator in professional training technologies, founder of the USSR Academy of pedagogics scientific research institute of professional technical pedagogics and its first director.
Mirza Makhmutov served 18 years as the minister of public education of Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, and for 20 years was elected deputy of the Supreme Council of the Republic. He was one of the activists that initiated founding the Academy of sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, being among its founding academicians and members of the Presidium.
M.Makhmutov guided 43 candidate and 11 doctorate dissertations, himself writing over 500 scientific works. His works are translated into numerous languages of the CIS countries, as well as Arabic, English, German, Spanish, Chinese, Finnish, Bulgarian and others.
Fruitful state, scientific, pedagogical and public service of Mirza Makhmutov is highly appreciated by the government of the country. Among awards he received are orders of Lenin, October revolution, two orders of the Working Red Banner, twelve military and anniversary medals.
