Germany embassy minister meets with Tatarstan deputy industry and trade minister

The purpose of the visit to Tatarstan is to investigate the present condition and prospects for cooperation between Tatarstan and Germany on all the main areas, including commerce and economy. The attendees discussed possible expansion of cooperation.
According to the ministry’s press service, Linar Latypov held a presentation of Tatarstan’s economic and investment potential. He noted that FRG was an active economic partner of Tatarstan, ranking 8th among its top 100 trading allies. In 2008, trade between Tatarstan and Germany was 540.4 million euros.

On 6 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev laid flowers to the monument of the Great Russian poet Aleksandr Pushkin by the Jalil State Opera and Ballet Theatre in Kazan.
