Construction of five sport projects to start in Tatarstan in the Year of Sport

Sport facilities will be built within the framework of federal programs and projects in the Year of Sport and Healthy Lifestyle. Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation State Duma Committee for physical culture, sport and youth affairs, Ildar Gilmutdinov informed about it at an online news conference at Tatar-inform agency.

According to Russian State Duma deputy’s words, construction of 5 sport facilities is stipulated by the federal target program “Development of physical culture and sport in 2006-2015”. They are: gym with a swimming-pool in Kazan, stadium in Agryz, gym and stadium in Atninsky District, gym in Nizhnekamsk, gym in Tukayevsky District. “Approximately 140 million rubles will be allocated for construction of these projects,” I. Gilmutdinov informed.

The deputy informed that Tatarstan will claim construction of two football fields for children’s sport school within the framework of the federal sub-program “Development of football in the Russian Federation”.

Ildar Gilmutdinov also talked about the problematical issue – lack of trainers for children at sport schools. The Russian Federation State Duma deputy indicated that implementation of a new payment system will provide higher salaries for trainers. The deputy stressed that the federal budget in the field of physical culture and sport has been considerably increased and will total approximately 24 billion rubles (80 per cent more than in the past year).
