Roustam Minnikhanov to attend World Economic Forum

The World Economic Forum will tomorrow open in Davos, Switzerland. The Prime Minister of Tatarstan Roustam Minnikhanov is to attend the congress, says the Cabinet of Ministers’s press service.

The World Economic Forum will run from 28 January till 1 February. Russia’s head of government Vladimir Putin will speak at the forum, presenting his vision of the ongoing crisis and solutions to it.

Other reports include one by the President of Switzerland Hans-Rudolf Mertz and a report by the World Economic Forum Chairman Klaus Schwab. The event is to gather a total of 2,500 participants, including politicians and businessmen. This year, some 40heads of state expressed willingness to come to Davos. The focus of the meeting will be the global economic crisis and ways to shape a post-crisis world.
