Tatneft bids for Olympic Games sponsor status

Russian oil companies Rosneft, Lukoil, TNK-BP and Tatneft have begun a struggle to gain right to sponsor the Sochi Olympic Games 2014.

Russian newspaper Vedomosti writes that these corporations are bidding to enter the so-called golden category which means they are ready to spend no less than $100 mln. As sponsors they will also gain the right to use Olympic symbols for 6 years and become partners of the Olympic Russian team till 2016 as well as the right to use this information in the advertising.
