Infrastructure for innovation projects realization created in Tatarstan will help republican economy to come out from crisis

In spite of the difficult economic situation the innovation activity in the Republic of Tatarstan must be continued – said Rustam Minnikhanov, the Head of the Tatarstan Government during the meeting with Albina Nikkonen, the Executive Director of the Russian Association of Venture Investments (RAVI), which was held at the RT Cabinet of Ministers on January 20.

According to the RT Prime Minister, infrastructure for innovation projects realization created in Tatarstan will help republican economy to come out from crisis and to provide competitive position of republican production.

Rustam Minnikhanov expressed regret that the technoparks and business-incubators efficiency created in Tatarstan is moderate up till now.

For involving of students and young scientists to innovation process as well as for absolute use of scientific-research potential he required to established close cooperation with republican university rectors.

Prime Minister informed that the IV Venture Fair will be held in Kazan on January 23-24, 2009. Organizers of the Fair are the RT Investment-Venture Fund and RAVI. Within the framework of the Venture Fair potential investors will have possibility to meet with projects of innovation-technological companies of small and medium business of Tatarstan and other regions as well as to establish contacts with more attractive (with relation to investing) companies.

To involve students, aspirants and young scientists, the Youth Innovation Forum is planned to hold within the framework of the Venture Fair - informed Albina Nikkonen, the Executive Director of RAVI. The RT Prime Minister also approved a visit to Kazan of the representatives of international IT-companies for meeting with innovational potential of Tatarstan. "Techtour" European Association will organize the visit that was setting up in September, 2009 last decade.
