The session of the Board of the RT Ministry of Forestry was held in Kazan

January 19, the session of the Board of the RT Ministry of Forestry was held in Kazan with the participation of the Rustam Minnikhanov, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan. The system of the management of the forestry and tasks of the branch for the next ten years was discussed at the meeting.

Zufar Abdullin, the RT Minister of Forestry reported about the reforming of the branch after Forest Code of the Russian Federation had come into force. As for the Minister, today the total stock of wood in Tatarstan forests is amounted to 198 mln. c.m. The volume of wood logging in the last year exceeded 2.3 mln. c.m.

113 mln. roubles was came into the state budget due to the republican forests use including 21.3 mln. rubles to the republican budget.

Rustam Minnikhanov, the RT Prime Minister noted, that the results of the RT Ministry of Forestry activity are satisfactory as a whole. However, the branch is today noncompetitive still. The Forestry must be commercialized.

Rustam Minnikhanov named the present year as a "Year of Survival" and emphasized that the main task of the present day is keeping of workers and production facilities in the forestry.
