Tatar State Humanitarian-Pedagogical University will cooperate with Azerbaijan Pedagogical University (Iran)

January 15, the delegation of Eastern Azerbaijan province (Islamic Republic of Iran) headed by the province Governor Mr. Ahmad Alireza Beygi visited the Tatar State Humanitarian-Pedagogical University (TSHPU). Memorandum on agreement in the sphere of science and educational cooperation between Azerbaijan Pedagogical University (Iran) and TSHPU was signed during the visit.
Alexander Kogogin, RT Minister of Industry and Trade, Radif Zamaletdinov, the TSHPU rector and other officials met Iranian guests at the university.
Radif Zamaletdinov welcomed Iranian delegation members and briefly informed about history of TSHPU development. "We are grateful that such high-ranking delegation was able to attend our University" – said THSPU rector. He also noted that the university plans to establish the "Religious Science" specialty in 2009.
He informed, that during the last years, contacts with 49 foreign universities was established by Tatar State Humanitarian-Pedagogical University. The University signed 20 mutually beneficial treaties on cooperation with universities, embassies and funds. TSHPU cooperates with Cultural Representation under the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow since 2001. The same year the Iranistic Center was opened in TSHPU.
Governor of Eastern Azerbaijan Province expressed readiness to render assistance to TSHPU and send an instructor of the Persian language the university needs so much.
The Iranian guests lectured in TSHPU, whereupon the Memorandum on agreement in the field of science and educational cooperation between Azerbaijan Pedagogical University (Iran) and TSHPU was signed by the Radif Zamaletdinov and Amini Fard, the Azerbaijan Pedagogical University rector.
On 13 March the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev accompanied by the regional Mufti Kamil Samigullin took part in the XIV Iftar of the republic organized by the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Tatarstan, the administration of the Ak Bars Arena stadium and the national tourist complex Tugan Avylym (My Native Village) at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center.
On 20 January in the evening Russian President Vladimir Putin called Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev and congratulated him with his birthday. During the conversation Vladimir Putin stated that he is happy to hear bright voice of Mintimer (Sharipovich) and wished him good health and all the best.
On 20 January, congratulating Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev with his birthday, the Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin wrote in his telegramme: “Being a famous and political leader, you have made a substantial contribution into modern development of Tatarstan and have earned the deep respect and gratitude of residents of the republic.
On January 20, the First President of Tatarstan, State Counsellor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev celebrates its 89 birthday.
He received numerous congratulations from the state and regional leaders, public figures, figures in science, education and culture and residents of the country and Tatarstan.
