The meeting of SCO-counties ministers of culture will held in Kazan

Zilya Valeeva, Deputy Prime-Minister - Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, met in Moscow with Alexey Shalashov, Director of the Department of Modern Art and International Relations of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

Perspectives of international and inter-regional cooperation as well as the issues of interaction of the ministries was discussed during the meeting. The high emphasis was placed on the participation of Tatarstan in the 2010 events: Year of France in Russia and Year of Russia in France.

The preparation for the future meeting of the ministers of culture of the counties – members of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation which will be held in Kazan in April, was also discussed during the talks.
