In 2009 financing of educational system of Tatarstan will amount to 30 billion rubles

The Government of Tatarstan supports all directions of the RT Ministry of Education and Science activity and will stimulate the development of education through the fair amount granting. Rustam Minnikhanov, the RT Prime Minister said about it on the final session of the Board of Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, which was held on January, 12.

It is the largest expense in the republican consolidated budget, and it will amount about 30 billion rubles (14 billions rubles in 2005, for comparison) – said the Prime Minister.

According to Rustam Minnilhanov, the republic considerably supports the institutions of high professional education. Thus, in 2008, the financial supporting of RT institutes of higher education amounted to 89 million rubles.

The Prime Minister recommended to the RT Ministry of Education and Science strenuously to work in the sphere of legislation and maximally to use the federal programs for high school supporting as well as to concentrate efforts to the establishment of federal university on the basis of Kazan State University.

170 million rubles are required to the upgrading of computers in the schools of Tatarstan. Additionally the operative expenses for computers supporting are amounted 40-50 million rubles every year – said Nikolay Nikiforov, the General Director of the RT Center of Information Technologies on the session.

He declared the necessity of the republican educational e-community creation. As for him, every teacher and pupil has to have personal Internet-address with the remote home access.
