Mintimer Shaimiev: «New building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will decorate architectural image of Kazan»

On August 22 President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev and RF Minister of Internal Affairs Rashid Nurgaliev visited a building of republican Ministry of Internal Affairs in Dzerzhinsky street which is, presently, under construction.

The object started to be erected in February of this year. Earlier, since August 2005 - dismantling was conducted of a construction complex suffered from a fire in which central administration of the RT Ministry of Internal Affairs and Management of Federal security service on RT was located . Stone structures on this site relate to the various historical periods (since second half XVIII century) and belonged to a merchant Lopatin. Leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tatarstan has made a decision to preserve former architectural image with a use of modern materials and advanced building technologies. The total area of a building makes 14700 square meters.

Deputy general director on restoration of State Unitary Enterprise “Tatinvestgrazhdanproject" Svetlana Mavleeva told Mintimer Shamiev and Rashid Nurgaliev that while developing the project of a building architects had taken the central part of a former complex referring to the epoch "modernist style" ( beginning of XX century) for a basis. «Thus, we have managed to consummate in some extent ideas which the architect Petordija and the engineer Bruno who constructed the central building started to embody during a life, - explained a restorer. Having familiarized with drawings and assessed a quality of construction, President of Tatarstan noted, that the given object, certainly, would decorate architectural image of Kazan and harmoniously enter a complex historical buildings surrounding «Black lake» park.

As RT Minister of Internal Affairs Asgat Safarov informed, all central administration of the ministry would be spaced in a new building , call center part with forces and means of the Ministry of Internal Affairs placed, a conference hall for 250 persons and a hall of collegium adapted for holding emergency exit sessions of the Government of Tatarstan is envisaged. Besides, the anti-crisis center and republican main office of counterterrorist actions can in case of a need be unwrapped here. « For this purpose the building is equipped with all necessary means of safety », - Asgat Safarov emphasized .

Mintimer Shaimiev and Rashid Nurgaliev have familiarized with presented breadboard models of inhabited complex «Solar city» then left for a building site.
