First Kazan brewery marks 110th anniversary

The monument to a well-known merchant Ivan Aleksandrov was unveiled today at the square in front of OAO "Krasny Vostok". 110 years ago merchant Alexandrov built the first brewery in Kazan.

Talking about the present day of the enterprise, President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev noted that for the short period it has mastered high technologies, built new blocks with the ultramodern equipment, increased production volumes. "Krasny Vostok" is a vivid example of great opportunities of the market economy, let alone labour productivity and worthy wages. By the way, only the Tatarstan budget this year will receive 740 million rubles of tax payments from "Krasny Vostok".

President of Tatarstan together with other officials took part in the opening of malt-house with the capacity of 45 000 tons of Tatarstan barley and 55 000 tons of Kursk barley, examined other shops, awarded workers of the companies with honorable letters for the big contribution into the development of food-processing industry.
