"Kazan utlary " - 80 years

The meeting took place between the President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev and editor - in - chief of magazine "Kazan Utlary" Ravil Fajzullin, chairman of Board of the Union of writers of RT Foat Galiullin, well known writers of republic was held August 27 in the Kazan Kremlin devoted to celebrating of a 80-anniversary of magazine "Kazan Utlary" held witrhin the framework of the III World Congress of Tatars.

First issue of literary - art and public - political magazine "Beznen Yul" was published in May 1922, in Tatar language. It was a predecessor of the present edition of " Kazan Utlary". Through this magazine created under initiative of Galimzhan Ibragimov, the Tatar reader for the first time got familiarized with the works of H.Taktash, S.Kamal, S.Usmanov, K.Nadzhmi, A.Kutuj and other writers.

Since 1965 the magazine is published under the name " Kazan Utlary ". In different years of it was headed by the writers of republic - Rafael Mustafin , Zaki Nury, Garif Ahunov, Renat Haris.

The 80-anniversary of " Kazan Utlary " - a holiday not only for writers, but also for the readers, said RT President Mintimer Shaimiev. Publication of a next issue of the magazine always was expected with impatience, and was read by turns. Because the best works were published first of all on its pages, and only then books were printed. During the most difficult time the magazine has survived, in comparison with the last year its circulation has grown as well, it is necessary for readers, concluded M.Shaimiev.

During a meeting in the Kremlin the issue of distribution of magazine in other regions was discussed. The offer that one of issues of the edition should be for Russian-speaking readers sounded as well, publishing the best works of year.
