Tatars promote association of their people

On June 22 in the Kazan Kremlin President Shaimiev met the leaders of the Tatar public organizations and businessmen from the regions of Russia.

OAll participants of the meeting agreed with the President's words that for last years the authority of the Tatar people increased in many respects. The Tatars proved that they may be responsible for their destiny, live in peace with other peoples. With a different policy, we would put the Tatars in difficult situation in other areas and republics of the country and in the world. By solving uneasy problems, we managed to be in many respects an example for others. A different policy would hinder both our economic and spiritual development. In times of greatest ordeals, the Tatars were proud of their origin. It is very important to hand down this feeling of pride to the posterity.

The meeting was held on the eve of the national holiday Sabantui. This holiday which in due time was honoured by participation of two Russian presidents today confidently walks the planet. In many Russian regions it is celebrated as national, became loved by both Russians, and other peoples.

The important point of the meeting was cooperation with the Tatar businessmen. The Tatars are indeed skilful people, in the Russian regions there are many successful businessmen and manufacturers, development of joint projects would be interesting for our republic. The more so as there are already many realized projects such as trading houses, mutual deliveries of products. Ideas arose right at the meeting, M.Abdyushev from Nizhni Novgorod offered to Tatarstan the grain-dryer which will provide crop safety. The Tatarstan President immediately gave orders to Minister of economy and industry A.Pahomov, Minister of trade S.Khafizov, director of Department of external relations T.Alulov to give close attention to the development of economic relations.
