Tatarstan dairy industry celebrates its jubilee

The dairy industry of Tatarstan celebrated its 70th anniversary. The first dairy factory in the republic started functioning in 1932.

Today Kazan dairy factory processes about 250 tons of milk per day, presenting a variety of more than 75 milk products. One year ago it spent 90 mln rubles to update the cheese-making line. The republican government allocated a 40-mln-ruble credit to purchase the new modern equipment.

Last March the first set of cheese was made on the Austrian line Bertsch. Today it makes about 20 tons of different cheeses - "Russian", "Dutch", "Favorite", "Hero" etc. The production volumes increased by 23,4%.

On May 15, the President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev congratulated the Kazan dairy factory. He visited different departments, inspected the quality of raw materials and products, demand for it, working conditions at the factory.
