President of Tatarstan met with leaders of Kryashen organizations

April 11, Kazan Kremlin, the President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev received the representatives of Kryashen organizations of the Republic.The range of the considered issues was wide - social problems, questions of ethnic-cultural revival and preservation of traditions of Kryashen Tatars, the form of self-management, prospects of Kryashen development as ethnic-confessional entity.

According to the President of Tatarstan, the meeting was held due to request of leaders of Kryashen organizations. I would tell, this is our mutual desire, because really there are problems. We cannot but help to consider them in common. Earlier we did not have the problems of unity - Tatars - Moslems and Tatars - Kryashen as we had lived in an atheistic society. Then it was wanted, for these problems completely to disappear, but now time is different. I am ready to fully open dialogue with the aim that we have tried to find answers to questions important for all of us, emphasized Mintimer Shaimiev.
