Visit of the President of International Russian Hockey Federation

January 5, Kazan Kremlin, President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev met with president of the International Federation of Russian hockey Albert Pomortzev. Conversation dealt with holding world championship of 2005 on Russian hockey in Kazan. Making comments on the results of a meeting at the Kremlin, Albert Pomortzev spoke about world championship in Kazan, as of already accepted decision. "During the discussions held in the Federation about possible place of holding the world Championship, many spoke that they dream to arrive in 2005 to Kazan because the number of commands in the championship will be not small".

Albert Pomortzev also proposed to carry out in Kazan the International tour in Russian hockey on prizes of the President of Tatarstan, on which to invite the teams of subjects of the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan and Byelorussia. Mintimer Shaimiev gave his consent, having offered to expand the circle of participants.
