Issues of public safety discussed in Kazan

The All-Russia meeting of heads of public safety militia of the Internal Ministry of Russia, Volga, Ural and Southern federal districts started its work today in Kazan, with participation of RF Minister of internal affairs Boris Gryzlov and RT President Mintimer Shaimiev. Heads of public safety militia from over 50 regions of Russia arrived for the meeting.

After the meeting Mintimer Shaimiev and Boris Gryzlov commented upon the contacts of the federal center with representatives of the Chechen party. The President of Tatarstan noted that recent contacts may contribute to political settlement. "If only the settlement was reached as soon as possible. Because there are, unfortunately, serious losses. We wish nothing of this kind happens in Russia again".
