Reference point for new cooperation

After the closing of the Russian - Turkish Business Council held this year in Kazan, President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev met with organizers of the business forum.

The Turkish party was represented by the State Minister of the Republic of Turkey, chairman of the Turkish party of the Intergovernmental Turkish - Russian Economic Committee Yilmaz Karakounly, Turkish Ambassador in the Russian Federation Nabi Shensoi, Chairman of the Russian - Turkish Business Council Turgut Gur and other officials. Among the Russian party were deputy minister of property relations of the Russian Federation Sergey Kosarev, Secretary General of the Russian - Turkish Business Council Valery Kononov.

In opinion of the participants of the Business Council, it was quite a success. Now everything that was discussed at the forum should be implemented.

- We have to establish steady, long-term cooperation. We should became more active, today's meeting is to become a reference point for a fundamental change, Mintimer Shaimiev said.

Yilmaz Karakounly also emphasized that cooperation between Turkey and Tatarstan, which have common roots, will perfectly complement relationship of his country and Russia. From his part, he suggested focusing cooperation on small and medium business run successfully in Turkey.

A separate theme of the meeting were twin-cities Kazan and Eskishehir.

The meeting was so sincere and interesting, that we may expect near positive changes in the sphere of development of Tatarstan-Turkish economic and trade contacts.
