Meeting of two presidents

September 26, staying on rest in Antalia the President of Republic Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev at the invitation of the President of Turkish Republic Ahmet Nedzhdet Sezer made a short-term trip to Ankara where the meeting of presidents of Tatarstan and Turkey was held.
During conversation Mintimer Shaimiev and Ahmed Nedzhdet Sezer discussed the broad circle of questions about trade, economic and cultural cooperation of Tatarstan and Turkey.
In the meeting also took part RT first vice-premier Ravil Muratov, the Plenipotentiary of Republic Tatarstan in Turkish Republic Ramil Mavlyutov, the State minister of Turkish Republic Jyllmaz Karakoyunlu, the Adviser of the President of Turkish Republic Tadzhan Ilden and the Adviser of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkish Republic Ugur Gaped.
Upon termination of a meeting the President of Turkish Republic Ahmet Nedzhdet Sezer gave dinner in honor of the President of Republic Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev.

On 6 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev laid flowers to the monument of the Great Russian poet Aleksandr Pushkin by the Jalil State Opera and Ballet Theatre in Kazan.
