Chief Rabbi of Russia congratulates on Jewish New Year

On the New Year eve Chief Rabbi of Russia Berl Lazar addressed Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev and people of the republic with sincere wishes of health, happiness, well being, successes and new achievements.

The telegram of congratulation says that Rosh Hashana (New Year) is the time when "all beings appear before the Creator, when their further destiny is defined". We are sure, the telegram goes, that your energy, knowledge, talent of leadership and democratic views will henceforth serve to improving welfare of your people, increasing life standards, strengthening interethnic relations for the benefit of Russia.
