Mintimer Shaimiev's trip to Crimea

On August 12, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev during his working trip to Crimea met with Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma. During the meeting they shared opinions on a broad range of problems concerning economic relations between Tatarstan and Ukraine.

Mintimer Shaimiev and Leonid Kuchma, in particular discussed the situation at the Kremenchug oil refinery, a part of ZAO "Ukrtatnaft", after the Supervisory Council took the decision on changes in the top management of the company.

During his short working trip to Crimea Mintimer Shaimiev also met Chairman of Crimean Parliament Leonid Grach and Commander-in-chief of the Black Sea Fleet Vladimir Komoyedov, inspected the activity of several Tatarstan enterprises in Crimea, in particular Tatneft gas station and trade firms in Sevastopol.
