Sabantui in Kazan

The traditional Sabantui was celebrated in Kazan last Saturday. Certainly, there were horse racing, volleyball, ping-pong, arm-wrestling competitions and different fun contests like fighting by sacks, running with eggs, with buckets.

President of Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev talked with SabantuiІs participants, and was fanning in the national Tatar wrestling Їkuryashю. The deputy general director of UNESCO Munir Buchenaki with his spouse, the director of the Department of Foreign Affairs Timur Akulov, the mayor of Kazan Kamil Ishakov and other officials took part in the holiday.
