Plane Tu - 214 to be traded by Egyptian company

Our joint purpose - of Tatarstan and Egypt - production of planes TU - 214 for the international market, told the Board chairman of the company "Sirocco Aerospace International S.A.E." Ibrahim Kamel during the meeting with president of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiv held on July, 6 in the Kazan Kremlin.

The main achievement for today, noted Mintimer Shaimiev, is, that the President of Russia and his Government have understood that domestic aircraft construction should be supported, and it is precisely reflected in the strategic program. Tatarstan even has set up its own leasing company, not waiting for the similar to be formed in Russia. Today the most important task is to develop conditions of conducting joint business with the company "Sirocco Aerospace International S.A.E". ЇYou are familiar with this kind business, and it will be easy for us to cooperate with youю, said Tatarstan President.

Mr. Kamil, prior having examined the KAPO workshops remained pleased by the work of personnel which had mastered newest developments. He has noted the progress in development of a new engine, "which by the technical specifications quite corresponds to foreign analogues". But as for today it is still not available.

But for now, as there is no a certified engine which might compete with foreign motor, the plane production will start with installation of foreign motors. And we should not be afraid to produce the Russian planes with foreign engines. Time will come, when the Kazan motors will lift in air domestic planes.

The parties came to a conclusion, that it is necessary to organize a joint working group, which would work out all possible ways of cooperation. It is necessary to note, that results of work of this group will be known at the end of the current month. And by the end of July Mr. I. Kamel again is going to visit Kazan.
