Long-awaited event

The first serial plane Tu-214 made by the Kazan Aviation Industrial Association (KAPO) was solemnly passed to the customer - Khabarovsk enterprise "Dalavia". The plane is equipped with two airengines PC-90A made by the joint-stock company "Perm motors" and is designed for transportation of 164 passengers with range ability of 7.200 km. In June, the airliner will take part in the international air show in France. The second Tu-214 will be delivered by the end of July. Both planes will operate at the route "Khabarovsk-Moscow". This year "Dalavia" plans test-flights of Tu-214 to Japan and Korea.

At the meeting held May 22 at KAPO, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev congratulated the enterprise on realization of the project Tu-214.

The plane leasing is carried out according to a pentalateral agreement between the Tatarstan Government, Khabarovsk regional administration, KAPO, Dalavia and Moscow "Financial Leasing Company" (founders - "Tatneft", IFC "Solid" and bank "Zenith"). The investments for the two planes are estimated at $ 34.8 mln.

The cost of the Tu-214 is about $25 mln. Experts evaluate the period of leasing at eight years, plane life - at about 25 years.
