Russian President meets Tatarstan President

The meeting of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin with President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev was held on May 29 in Moscow.

Mintimer Shaimiev informed Vladimir Putin about socio-economic situation in the republic, course of spring field works, flood situation. Then the participants of the meeting discussed a wide range of issues, exchanged opinions on the development of the concept of power delimitation between the Federal center and subjects of the Russian Federation.

During almost one-hour meeting, Vladimir Putin and Mintimer Shaimiev also discussed problems of developing the amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Tatarstan, reforming housing-municipal services of the republic, financing the federal programs in the territory of Tatarstan in connection with its entry into a uniform financial space of Russia.
