Members of "Russian Escort Club" are delighted with Tatarstan

May 10, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev said that Great Britain made an important contribution to our common victory over the German fascism, during the meeting with the British delegation " Russian escort Club" in the Kazan Kremlin. The veterans of the Second World War who had navigated and accompanied the ship delivering to the Soviet Union military engineering, weapons and other goods from the allies, arrived at Tatarstan for celebration of Victory Day.

The British delegation was headed by vice-president " Russian escort Club" Gordon Wheelfred Long. The head of the British delegation during the meeting with journalists thanked for a reception rendered to delegation in Tatarstan. He said:

"We had a very good time here, everything was organized perfectly, it is very important for us" and promised to visit Kazan once again.
