Tatarstan is proud of such people as Mirza Mahmutov

May 3, the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev met full member of the RF Academy of Education, full member of the RT Academy of sciences, RF honored worker of science, academician Mirza Mahmutov on the occasion of his 75-th anniversary.

Mirza Mahmutov came in Tatarstan after the Second World War. Arabist by profession, he began to read lectures on Arabian language and history of Tatar language at the Kazan State University. Later, already being a minister of Education he successfully worked improving educational system in the Republic.

President М.Shaimiev congratulating М.Mahmutova said that great contribution of the scientist to education in the Republic, formation of its statehood and revival of high spiritual wealth of Tatars deserves a sincere delight and gratitude. We are proud that people of such authority, intellectual level and scientific potential live in Tatarstan.
