Republic awaits inauguration

An extraordinary plenary session of the RT State Council is to be held on April 12, with the agenda "On Inauguration of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan".
The ceremony will pass according to clause 110 of the Constitutions of the Republic of Tatarstan and special resolution of the State Council of March 28, 1996, regulating its order in the framework of the plenary session. For the first time during the solemn ceremony of inauguration of the Tatarstan President, the Russian national anthem will be played along with the Tatarstan national anthem, and the Russian tricolor will be raised together with the RT national flag.
After the chairman of the RT Central Election Committee informs about the election results, Mintimer Shaimiev, with his right hand on the Constitution of the republic, will take his oath to the people and Constitution of Tatarstan in both state languages, and then will put his signature under the text of the oath. This will be an official beginning of M.Shaimiev's third presidential term.
The solemn ceremony will be concluded with the concert of Tatarstan artists. The ceremony will be broadcast by the republican TV and radio.

On 6 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev laid flowers to the monument of the Great Russian poet Aleksandr Pushkin by the Jalil State Opera and Ballet Theatre in Kazan.
