Children are put on feet here

The Rehabilitation center for children - invalids works in Kazan already for seven years. For that time it has helped hundreds of children with restricted physical capabilities. On March 23 Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev visited this center.

In a cabinet of medical physical culture for the children with DCP (children cerebral paralysis) and different defects of locomotorium system children in direct sense are put on feet, doctors correct their bearing, cure consequences of traumas with the help of modern equipment. But the children are not only treated, but study in both usual and musical schools here. The computer class attracted the President's attention, the programs for this class were worked out by the teachers of TISBI. The rehabilitation centers for invalids should be provided with computers because for such children it is a unique possibility to communicate, said Mintimer Shaimiev.

Among the pupils of the Center there are winners of the Second All-Russia Art festival for children - invalids, passed in August, 2000.
