In the year of youth - about students' problems

Within two days the III Republican Student Congress in Kazan tackled issues of social protection, employment, housing conditions of students, role of public organizations, conditions for scientific activity and other. The plenary session was held on March 21 with participation of Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev.
Mintimer Shaimiev said that the Republican Student League found efficient forms of interaction between authorities, public organizations and university administrations, providing for permanent communication and awareness of student's problems. The RT Student League is the only RussiaІs public organization of the kind, which has united students of the republic in authoritative, powerful force.
The republican authorities considers youth problems a priority and will persistently search for their gradual solution.

On 6 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev laid flowers to the monument of the Great Russian poet Aleksandr Pushkin by the Jalil State Opera and Ballet Theatre in Kazan.
