Quality of Tatarstan oil to be improved

Farit Khaidarov is appointed director general of OAO "Northwest oil-trunk pipelines". This was declared at the meeting between Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev and president of OAO "AK Transneft" Semen Vainshtok on January 12 in the Kazan Kremlin.
The appointment satisfied both parties. The Tatarstan oil industry gets "a competent and, above all, honest person", noted S.Vainshtok. M.Shaimiev marked well-coordinated work of "Transneft" with "Tatneft" and small petroleum companies.
S.Vainshtok informed journalists that their private meeting with M.Shaimiev was devoted not only to the staff issues, but also to the prospect of "Transneft" development in Tatarstan. He added that Tatarstan oil industry will be given the export pipe without any infringements.

On 6 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev laid flowers to the monument of the Great Russian poet Aleksandr Pushkin by the Jalil State Opera and Ballet Theatre in Kazan.
