Association will start working as soon as the problem on financing is solved

During the October 27 press-conference of RT President Mintimer Shaimiev, the question was about the results of the visit of deputy heads of Russian presidential administration V.Surkov and D.Kozak, who visited Kazan on October 26 together with Chairman of the Constitutional Assembly of the Republic of Bashkortostan K.Tolkachev and deputy representative of the RF President to the Volga federal district A.Yevstifeyev

I think that we have agreed in principle, Mintimer Shaimiev emphasized. At first, we considered the process of bringing the regional legislation of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan in conformity with the Russian, agreed upon terms and ways of further movement. The discussion, according to Mintimer Shaimiev, was uneasy, but constructive. It proves that Tatarstan and Bashkortostan move in the same direction, but have different approaches. During conciliatory process, our republic defined the list of laws to be brought in conformity immediately, laws to be under work and "the most advanced" laws that will not be altered and even can be used in the Russian legislation. After it we shall tackle the disagreements in the constitutions.

But what is very important, Mintimer Shaimiev noted, the arrangement was achieved that we shall be guided by the Treaty "On Delimitation of Jurisdiction subjects and Mutual Delegation of Authority between the Sate Bodies of the RF and RT".

Mintimer Shaimiev also said that 12 Tatarstan laws would be brought to conformity with the Russian laws immediately - this was agreed upon during the conciliatory commission. The rest will take place not in this year, RT President underlined.
