President of Tatarstan discussed problems of public health services with members of delegation of State Duma and RF Public Chamber

President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev met delegation of RF State Duma and RF Public Chamber, headed by chairman of Committee of RF State Duma on health protection Tatyana Yakovleva.

Chairman of Sub-commitee on childhood protection Michael Rokitsky, chairman of commission of RF Public Chamber on issues of public health services Leonid Roshal, director of official body "Science centre of children health" of Russian Academy of Medical Science, chairman of Executive committee of Russia Union of pediatrists Alexander Baranov, Chairman of RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin, RT Minister of Health Kamil Ziyatdinov, chairman of RT Public Chamber Ilgiz Khairullin took part at the meeting.

Welcoming visitors, Mintimer Shaimiev admitted, that he is very glad to meet people, devoted to medicine. The issues of the medical aid organization in city and village, and also aspects of realization of the priority national project "Health" in Tatarstan were discussed during the meeting.

As Tatyana Yakovleva stated in the interview to mass-media representatives, "Tatarstan has opportunity to receive federal quotas on medicine of high technologies". "Today we visited Children's republican clinic where are working miracles - heart operations even for babies, not every region can do it, - she noted. - The hospital is capable to render the various help not only for Tatarstan population, but also neghbouring territories - Chuvashia, Mary El, Udmurtiya. And for this it is necessary, to have financing from federal budget."

By Tatyana Yakovleva's worlds, in conversation with RT President, she expressed necessity of peritanal centre construction in our Republic. "Unfortunatuly, the centre does not exist. Tatarstan has big opportunities for this : medical staff, equipment." - T.Yakovleva emphasized.

Estimating the level of public health services in our Republic, head of Duma committee on health protection pointed the following fact: average over the country on financing of medical sphere in regions comes to 3,2 percent of GRP, this parameter is equal to 4 percent in Tatarstan.
