Mintimer Shaimiev: We will provide sound implementation of national projects, because it is in interests of our people

Republic Tatarstan has good starting points for the national projects implementation, - RF President’s Plenipotentiary Envoy in the Volga Federal District Alexander Konovalov stated, summing up the meeting’s results that was held today at Kazan Kremlin.

RT President Mintimer Shaimiev, ministries’ and federal bodies’ in RT representatives participated in the meeting. Chiefs of the corresponding bodies reported on what work is being conducted in Tatarstan within the frame work of the national projects implementation.

Mintimer Shaimiev reminded that on the eve of 2005 the country had to solve very difficult and unpopular among the citizens reform - monetisation of Soviet-era benefits at federal and local level, including housing and utilities. It was not easy to pass the first half of the year for us but the reform was done.

Today, on the eve of 2006 we have got a possibility to realise other, long-awaited and urgent programmes in such vital spheres as healthcare, education, agriculture and civil construction, RT President noted.

They were proposed by RF President to society, M.Shaimiev said. That is why authorities altogether should coordinate their work absolutely without separating professional duties. By Mintimer Shaimiev’s opinion, there is a lack of outreach on the national projects. “We have to provide them with sufficient informative support”, - he underlined. These programmes should be implemented in a positive mood, and we have everything for it, RT President concluded.
