Mintimer Shaimiev: Sessions of State Council of the republic should be opened by hymn of Tatarstan

The 19 session of RT State Council opened on which President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev proposed: "To open all sessions of parliament by a hymn of the republic".

The point is that according to the Regulations of RT State Council , the hymn of Tatarstan should sound only at opening and closing of autumn and spring sessions. Chairman of RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin supported Mintimer Shaymiev's offer, having said that relevant alteration would be made in parliament's regulations.

The President of Tatarstan also suggested that the hymn of republic should be performed at the sessions of representative bodies of municipal formations. All local self- governments are within the limits of republic and there should be no exceptions for anybody because the point is about a hymn, - the President emphasized, having added, that if local self- government has its own hymn let it be sounded.

In the agenda of 19-th session of parliament appears more than 50 issues. Among them - project of RT budget for 2006 (2 reading), the Program of social and economic development of the republic for 2005 - 2010 years (3 reading), package of documents on local self-government, etc.
