RT President Mintimer Shaimiev and RF State Duma Chairman Boris Gryzlov congratulated guests and citizens of Kazan with beautiful jubilee

“Tatarstan celebrates great holiday today – Republic Day coincided with the 1000th anniversary of Kazan. The festivities on this occasion were held at international and national level. We have managed to do a lot of thing with federal executive bodies’ assistance. The fact that RF President Vladimir Putin chaired the steering committee on the 1000th anniversary of Kazan celebration provided our jubilee with a special significance. At the time of jubilee events we have shown Russia- and Worldwide of how to live in peace and consent in a multinational and multi-confessional republic”, - Mintimer Shaimiev underlined.

In his address to the citizens of Tatarstan Boris Gryzlov noted that the residents of the republic have managed to make the jubilee a holiday not for themselves alone but for the entire Russia, all the country was waiting for it. “The Millennium is a very rare celebration, but you deserved it”, RF State Duma stated.
