Mintimer Shaimiev: “Republican universities must prepare specialists of tomorrow”

Today, higher educational institutions have to prepare specialists of tomorrow, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev said at the enlarged meeting of the academic council of Kazan State Technological University (KSTU) on September 1.

Russia makes use of experience of developed countries and a prove of it is reforms in education and science, Mintimer Shaimiev said. The bills on multilevel education, integration and continuity are being prepared, great attention is paid to homeland fundamental researches. The science is being adapted to new living conditions. Our task is to be competitive in everything. The president emphasised that today’s developments should be shelved. The time is not waiting.
