As it was already informed, January 18, President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev with spouse left for short-term leave to Switzerland.

The leave of the President coincided with his birthday. January 20, Mintimer Shaimiev is 66 years of age.

On January 20th President of Russia Vladimir Putin called President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev and congratulated him on birthday, the RT President press centre informed.

Mintimer Shaimiev was congratulated on his birthday also by Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Michael Kas'janov and Chairman of the Council of Federation of Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Sergey Mironov.
