Consul of Turkey leaves, but does not say goodbye

"I regretfully leave Kazan, but I take away with myself the most good impressions about Tatarstan and Tatarstanians", - said General Consul of Turkish Republic in Kazan Akhmed Riza Demier during a meeting with the president of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev.

Four years determined for work of Mr. Demirer in the post of General Consul in Kazan have expired. A new person was already appointed to this high diplomatic post.

Speaking about the further plans, Mr. Demirer noted, that he henceforth is going to use a wide experience acquired in Tatarstan and keep connections with republic both in the private aspect and diplomatic sphere. The nearest two years he is going to work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, then, probably, in one of the CIS states . "In any case, I shall try to arrive at Kazan in 2005", - emphasized Mr. Demirer.
