26th session of the RT State Council opened

The 26th session of the RT State Council opened in the new Parliamentary Centre on October 12. RT President Mintimer Shaimiev took part in the work of the session.

There were 78 questions on the agenda. RT President Mintimer Shaimiev wished Tatarstan parliamentarians constructive and creative work for the well-being of the citizens of the republic.

RT State Council Chairman Farid Mukhametshin was the first to address the deputies and invited officials. “It’s a historical day for us. This is the first session taking place in the new building. Unlike that hall that we inherited from the Soviet times, this hall is cosier and up-to-date”, the head of the republican parliament said. He believes that the new political season is not going to be an easy one. “Practically the State Duma election campaign has already started. The care about the voters should be a priority” Farid Mukhametshin assumes.
