October 20 saw the continuation of the working visit by the President of Tatarstan, Mintimer Shaimiev, to Great Britain.
The morning started with an interview to Bloomberg television company. Mintimer Shaimiev talked about priorities of the economic development in the republic.
Today, the republic of Tatarstan pays a lot of attention to preparation of young personnel, some young people study abroad, such projects are financed from the republican budget. Mintimer Shaimiev believes that Russia’s policy of today should stand on the positions of stable economic game rules, and the right to have private property should become an unshakable law.
Then the President made a tour of the city visiting Trafalsar Square, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey.
The President took part in a round table discussion dedicated to federalism, Islam and modern politicall situation in Russia. The round table discussion took place in the Royal Institute of International Affairs.
The day finished with a visit to the Carlton Club. There was a lunch with British entrepreneurs.
