Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev met with RT State Council leadership and committee chairmen

November 1, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mintimer Shaimiev, met with the leadership and committee chairmen of the RT State Council. They have talked on setting a budget for next year and on finishing this year in conditions of activisation of political and economic reforms in the republic and the country.
At large, Mintimer Shaimiev expressed his satisfaction with the constructive work of the legislation body, deputies’ responsibility first of all for the republic’s future and not their own image. At the same time, he recommended the State Council that they should more actively make the federal legislation bodies know their vision of problems, whatever unpopular this work could be.
During the meeting, the parliamentarians expressed their opinions on issues topical from the deputy corps’ point of view.
Taking part in the meeting were Farid Mukhametshin, the RT State Council Chairman, Alexander Gusev and Rimma Ratnikova, the RT Deputy State Council Chairpersons, Valentina Lipuzhina, the RT SC Secretary, and Yuri Kamaltynov, the Head of Staff of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, and other officials of the presidential administration.
